Proud Foundations is the education, training & consultancy arm of our organisation.

Over the recent years we have trained some of the world’s most wellknown healthcare systems, college’s and governing bodies. We train Midwives for NHS England and NHS Scotland, and work within organisations like the Royal College of Obstetrician’s and Gynaecologist’s, the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority and Royal College of Midwives. We also provide corporate training to organisations wanting to understand out community better, and help them train their staff, write HR policies and protect their LGBTQ+ employees better.

We are passionate that the LGBT+ community deserve equity and equality in all areas of society and so we use our expertise and lived experience to ‘Educate, Support, Advocate” and pride organisations with the knowledge &and tools to support our people better. We have provided these service to the NHS, fertility clinics, sperm banks, charities and corporate organisations globally to ensure they have an understanding of our community and what positive changes can be implemented to support our people.

  • Proud Foundations provided two virtual workshops for Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. The workshops were delivered to people supporting Maternal and Perinatal services and helped attendees to understand different routes to parenthood. The first workshop enabled our Maternal Mental Health Service development team to identify simple changes, but also facilitated a in depth discussion about future ways of working. We all learned something new from the workshops, and our Equality Impact Assessment plans are now richer as a result of the new knowledge we have about the way in which microagressions can and do occur across maternity services. Thank you for providing a though provoking and helpful workshop for our people.
