LGBT+ Policy Change
Over the years our work has spanned a multitude of different industries and spaces.
We have taken part in campaigns like Stonewall’s 30th Anniversary campaign, attended Downing Street to meet the Prime Minister and presented multiple times in Parliament to MP’s with our recommendations on law reforms.
We have even recently met with the Home Secretary, to discuss the need for equal and equitable access to healthcare for our community.
We listen to our community, their needs and experiences, and utilise the relationships we have grown over the years to create positive conversations- by getting a seat at tables LGBTQ+ people often haven’t been welcome or able to acquire a seat at.
We want to change the landscape, because we know from our work that whilst protests and riots may have started many a campaign, sometimes it also takes building relationships at strategic levels where the real change happens. We work to change hearts and minds where possible, dispel stereotypes, unpick micro-aggressions and stop discrimination in it’s tracks.
We want to support our community not being ‘tolerated’, but ‘accepted’, and create kinder, safer systems, spaces and a society, where LGBTQ+ people can flourish and feel safe.
We work towards a future where our children grow up feeling accepted, safe and respected-one where they can see themselves reflected back in everyday to day life - we want to usualize our families.
