MP NICKIE AIKEN PODCAST IN PARLIAMENT- FERTILITY IN THE WORKPLACE .
When we LGBT Mummies were in Parliament last month with Fertility Matters at Work as part of the Fertility in the Workplace Campaign with them & MP Nickie Aiken & many others, we were delighted to have been asked by Nickie to speak on her Podcast.
As a collective of organisations, we are campaigning for better support in the workplace for those undergoing fertility treatment and their partners, Co-Parents or Surrogates. . As part of this, our group’s White Paper was published sharing societal attitudes around fertility treatment and how people think those impacted should be given access.
Becky Kearns & our Founder spoke on Nickie’s Podcast about the White Paper, the fertility community & spoke about our LGBTQ+ community & the impact a lack of support has on people, and what this can mean for employers too. I also spoke about how our community is physically, psychologically & financially impacted, alongside the barriers & implications we already face (and that we are actively campaigning for change on). .
