LGBT MUMMIES IN PARLIAMENT- Presenting to Kate Osborne and MP's- IVF Provision
FERTILITY EQUALITY CAMPAIGN: PRESENTING AT THE PARLIAMENTARY SESSION @kateosbornemp - FERTILITY FUNDING PROVISION .
On Monday 23rd October LGBT Mummies were honoured to along with our amazing friends Stonewall, My Surrogacy Journey and Whitney and Megan to present in Parliament regarding the current NHS Fertility Funding access for Same Sex Couples.
We got to meet some amazing MP’s like Niki Aiken, Hannah Bardell and Sarah Dyke & others like PET Trust attended who wanted to hear from us all how the lack of access impacted us personally, our community past & present & what we want the Government to do. .
For us @lgbt_mummies in our presentation we covered the barriers that Lgbtq+ people face with a lack of access, the implications (& costs) those barriers have, & what we recommend & want from @ukgovofficial @nhsengland @dhscgovuk to ensure our community access equal & equitable fertility funding to start the family they dream of;
We want:
-A NATIONAL MANDATED POLICY (All ICB’s provide the same equal access) Gay men, Trans,Non Binary, & Intersex people included
-Support for those who want to do Home Insemination (Quite a few other asks to ensure it’s equitable)
-A Service WITH US, FOR US, BY US .
