Fertility Justice Campaign in Parliament

FERTIITY JUSTICE CAMPAIGN- @ukparliament

It has been a heavy year for our community, and an uphill climb at times. Members of our community losing their rights, people debating their existence, the lack of safety many feel right now is unbearable.

But yesterday, after lots of planning and late nights, liaising with MP’s, designing & building relationships- it made it all worth it.

We were hosted by the amazing @jonesli300 Lillian Jones MP in Westminster and had our own Fertility Justice Campaign Drop In.

A Drop-In gives MP’s the opportunity to come and meet with the campaign team, discuss the Fertility Justice Campaign and our Manifesto- our vehicle for systemic change for ALL LGBTQIA+ intended parents and families.

We had many of our collective Campaign team there @officialmysurrogacyjourney @lgbtfdn @progresseducationaltrust @fertility.action @queerplatoniccoparenting @equalityfortransfamilies @burgess_mee @twodads.u.k @themodernfamilylawyer some couldn’t make it and were truly missed @paths_to_parenthub @divamagazine @whatwegandidnext @proud2bparents @fertilitymattersatwork !) and we were also joined by the @hfeaofficial & @_ngalaw who are supporters of the Campaign

Thank you to those who attended, came out of the Chambers while the PM was taking (naughty!) and those who text and mailed sending their apologies but also giving their unwavering support for the Campaign, and those who sent their team instead as they were out of Westminster on work.

The amount of support for the Campaign has truly moved us- at a time when it feels the world is against us- many of those who can help change the landscape for our community are standing by us.

We have more exciting updates to come, action to take and we won’t rest until we have equity and equality in fertility funding and family formation for ALL
