The LGBT Mummies Tribe- UK Meet-Our first ever event! 2018

So our first ever meet was so daunting we were so nervous- the weather was horrendous & we honestly through no one would come!

But over 100 attended & although many families seemed nervous at first, everyone got talking & joined in!

We had Party Inspiration’s help us with the balloons & decor & goodie bags; Stonewall provided posters for the children & asked us to get the families to take part in their newest family survey.

We provided all the children with rainbow goodie bags including bubbles & stickers which went down well!

We also provided pink LGBTMT cupcakes for every attendee (including vegan or dairy free ones for those with intolerances) made by Chantelle Morton (formerly Iced Gem Cakes) & they were amazing!

We had toys & play mats for the younger children & colouring crayons & sheets for them to do.

Then Dreamday Parties turned up with Rapunzel from Tangled & Batman & the kids had a great time with the Meet & Greet- even the Mummies joined in!

It was a great day & the sun came out at the end- we took lots of learnings from that day, but we really didn’t expect it to be as successful as it was & we met the most amazing families!

Even more exciting was meeting the women about to start their family, TTC or pregnant- as at the next Meet they were pregnant or had their babies with them!
